Thank you for purchasing this theme. We've put in lots of love in developing this wordpress theme and are excited that you've chosen this theme for your website. We hope you find it easy to use our theme. This documentation guides you through the main features of the theme and guides you how to use and customize the theme.

1.3 WordPress Information

To install this theme you must have a working version of WordPress already installed. Below are all the useful links for WordPress information.

 

Requirements

We have tested our theme in most standard hosting setups. Anyhow, make sure your hosting server matches the following requirements.

  1. Latest version of WordPress 4.3 or higher installed,
  2. PHP5 or higher and MySQL 5 or higher,
  3. We recommend to enable mod_rewrite module (If not enabled sometimes pages or posts will result in bad gateway error),
  4. Memory limit(memory_limit) should be atleast 128MB,
  5. Maxium File Upload size(upload_max_filesize) should be atleast 32MB.

 

What's Included

When you purchase our theme from ThemeForest, you need to download the files from your ThemeForest account. Navigate to your downloads tab on ThemeForest. Click the download button to see the two options. The Main Files contain everything, the Installable WordPress Theme is just the installable WordPress theme file. Below is a full list of everything that is included when you download the main files, along with a brief description of each item.

  • Theme Folder : charitable.zip
  • Child Theme Folder : charitable-child.zip
  • Demo Content Folder – Dummy content and pages
  • Documentation Folder – Contains the developer documentation.

 

Installation

Installation Via WordPress

Kindly follow the steps given below for installing this theme from Wordpress.

  1. Navigate to Appearance > Themes.
  2. Click 'Add New' button near 'Themes' title.
  3. Now 'Add Themes' page will be loaded with 'Upload Theme' button hit on it.
  4. Now navigate to find the "charitable.zip" file on your computer ( "charitable.zip" will be found inside "charitable.zip" ) and click "Install Now"
  5. Once uploaded go to Appearance > Themes and activate it.
  6. Then you will see a notification message to activate the required & recommended plugins: CharitTable-Toolkit', 'KingComposer', 'Contact Form 7', 'Breadcrumb navXT'.
  7. Once required plugins are activated, navigate to Settings > Permalinks select 'Post name' in 'Common Settings' tab and save it.

 

How To Install Via FTP

You can also install this theme through FTP server by using the following steps,

  1. Log into your Hosting server space using any FTP software (applications like FileZilla) at first.
  2. Extract the "Dawat.zip" (inside "veresume.zip") file as you've downloaded.
  3. Upload that extracted folder into your "wp-content / themes" directory.
  4. Once if the theme is uploaded and installed, you need to activate it from Appearance > Themes then.
  5. Then you will get a notification message to activate the required plugins: 'Charity-Toolkit Plugin', 'King Composer', 'Contact Form 7', 'Breadcrumb navXT' .
  6. Once after the required plugins are activated, navigate to Settings > Permalinks, and select 'Post Name' in 'Common Settings' tab and save it finally.

Required Plugin Installation

Once you have uploaded and activated the theme, install and activate the 'CharityPro Toolkit', 'King Composer' , 'Contact Form 7', 'Breadcrumb navXT as next step. All promoted features will work only after activating this plugin.

How To Update Your Theme ?

Kindly follow the steps given below to update our theme with the latest version.

  1. Download the theme's latest version from Themeforest downloads page.
  2. If you've made any custom changes in the code, please take a backup of it first. To be in safer side, take backup of the database completely.
  3. Overwrite the older theme files with latest theme files. Update the custom changes (from backup) into the new files.
  4. Now goto "wp-content / plugins" folder through the FTP software.
  5. Remove the plugins 'CharityToolkit Toolkit', 'Contact Form 7', 'King Composer' , ' Breadcrumb navXT' from wp-content / plugins folder. Make sure you have taken backup of custom changes if any.
  6. Then get into "Dashboard -> Appearance -> Install Plugins", to install and activate the Plugins'.
  7. Hereby you can update to the latest version of our Veda theme simply.

Note: If you have already updated our theme, just follow the steps 4,5,6 to update our 'CharityTable Toolkit Plugin'

Dummy Content Import

Installing Dummy Data through WordPress Importer Plugin.

Step 1 : In the Tools tab in your admin sidebar, click Import.

Step 2 : On the Import page, select WordPress from the list and install the WordPress Importer Plugin and Run WordPress Importer.

Step 3 : Click Choose File, and then choose the .xml file from your desired demo folder.

Step 4 : Once you've chosen the correct file, click the Upload File and Import button.

Step 5 : Select admin in the dropdown list, and don't forget to check the 'Download and Import File Attachment's checkbox.

Step 6 : Wait until WordPress is finished importing, then click Have Fun link to return to your dashboard

 

Installing Dummy Data through One Click Demo Importer.

Step 1 : In the Appearance tab in your admin sidebar, click Import.

Step 2 : Then Click the submenu Import Demo Data..

Step 3 : Choose any home variation form the all demo.

Step 4 : Once you've chosen the correct file, click the Import button.

NOTE : Please install all required plaugin before importing dummy data.

Theme Options

How to change logo ?

Go Customize → Site Identity and upload logo.

How To Set Home Page ?

Go Setting → Reading. then set your prefferd demo as a home page. and set a different page to as a blog post page.

How To Change Scroll Top , Preloader and Menu Sticky ?

Go Customize → Genaral Option.
